Multi-tasking Furniture
It’s one of life’s eternal truths: too much stuff, no place to put it. Even if you do have plenty of space, you may not have the proper storage for your “stuff”. Defy that age-old problem with furniture that cleverly offers more than one use.
- Choose a futon or sleep sofa for the spare bedroom, to provide seating by day and sleeping at night.
- For your home office, look for a lateral file cabinet that can hold your printer or scanner on top and your files inside.
- Before you put your feet up, put odds and ends inside a storage ottoman.
- Need extra storage in your bedroom? An armoire will give your closet a little breathing room, and conceal your television.
- Instead of putting out “TV trays”, look for a coffee table with a lift-top that serves as a table for snacking, playing games, or doing homework.
- No place to display your collectibles? Look for a wall curio. It becomes “wall art” and it won’t take up any floor space. Many entertainment cabinet designs offer compartments with adjustable shelves, interior lighting and glass doors, perfect for displaying memorabilia. Another solution is a bookcase with upper glass doors to provide a dust-free display area.
- An oversized leather ottoman will serve as a cocktail table, as well as a footrest, plus it can be used as an extra seat when needed.
With our active lifestyles, we all know how to multi-task…now your home does too!
